Adam and Brielle Update

Brielle Update: We are waiting to hear if the first care package made it to Brielle. Meanwhile, I have started putting together a second package and hopefully we will hear about our I800 soon.

Below are some pictures of Longji's school project. He had to create a globe and it was definitely a group effort.






The picture here is while we were in Austin this past weekend. We traveled up there for the Beyond Borders Adoption Conference. We got to tell our story to other families who are interested in adoption. It was a quick trip, but it was nice to get away and it was wonderful to see all of the people who were involved in our journey to Longji and currently with Brielle's adoption.

We had a great time with family and friends last night eating chili dogs, spider cookies and witches hats. We do need to get another boy in the picture. Longji was the only boy of seven in our group.








These are some pictures from Longji's Chinese school picnic. We had a great time. The weather was perfect and the food was great.

Care Package #1

We sent Brielle her first care package Friday night through Ann at Red Thread China. We used her twice for Longji's care packages and we were very pleased with her service. She was able to get us updated pictures which was a nice surprise both times. Hopefully she will be able to do the same with Brielle. Below are pictures of the items in the care package and we couldn't be happier with her pajamas and blanket. We have Longji's panda bear (with a blue shirt) and he received the same blanket, but blue. Longji was wearing his dinosaur pajamas the day we met him. The nanny thought they were regular clothes...he was still the cutest boy in the room! We really feel like the pajamas are perfect for Brielle. She is going to be the little girl I never was...this should be interesting. I will update as soon as I know anything. I am sending another package soon with a photo album for her to look over. Can't wait for her to get here!

Adam Longji, the Star!

Below are pictures of Longji's second grade performance at his school. He had two lines and he was so proud of them. At one point during the performance he turned into our little director and he was trying to tell the other kids where to stand while everyone was singing...it was too cute. He also got the opportunity to meet Mr. Fernandez, the gentleman who his school is named after. We thought this was pretty neat.










We did make it to the pumpkin patch this weekend and a Halloween costume has been purchased.














We also gathered all of our papers for Mr. Fed EX when he gets here tomorrow. I will be scrambling around after school trying to get papers signed, copied and sent off to a hopefully wonderfully hard working individual who will diligently work through our case with the heart of Jesus and produce the fastest turn around time any parent in "labor" has ever seen...we can only hope it moves quickly.

Meanwhile, one care package has been sent off and another is in the works. The TO DO LISTS have begun and travel arrangements are under way. Hang in there Brielle...we are coming!

We got our LOA!

We got our LOA which is actually called the LSC...same thing! Now we can officially post pictures of our little girl! I sent a care package tonight and I am already preparing one with a photo album and some other items we have been holding onto for Brielle. Her Chinese name is Zhu Yi Qun. We will call her Brielle Yiqun Laymon. She is beautiful! We are sending announcements out as soon as we have a more accurate travel date. We were told maybe around February, but let's pray, pray, pray it is sooner. This has been one long "pregnancy!" These are pictures we received last March when we reviewed her file. I am hoping Ann at Red Thread China will be able to get updated pictures for us. She was pretty successful with Longji's orphanage. Enjoy the pictures!!!!
